What a pleasure to collaborate with The Dr Coffee Podcast on this panel discussion episode with Dr Johann Lamprecht, Dr Bongiwe Nhlangulela, and Ms Lucy Pearl Khofi.
Dr Coffee Podcast was recently invited to participate in and facilitate the first Umsebeni Employment Series Conversation, organised by the Office of Student Success at the University of the Witwatersrand.
For those who don’t know, the Office of Student Success was started by the Faculty of Health Sciences at WITS University to enable the holistic development, well-being and support of all health sciences students towards their academic success.
The theme of the conversation was “Preparing for the workplace”, and took place on the 20th of July 2023.
Dr Coffee Podcast was privileged to be seated with the other panellists and guests on the Podcast:
• Dr Johann Lamprecht – Ophthalmologist in private practice focusing on surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma and retinal pathology. MBChB(UFS), FCOphth(SA) and MMed(Ophthal) (WITS) and founding member of the OSSA Young Ophthalmologists.
• Dr Bongiwe Nhlangulela – Family Dentist I Owner of three practices in Constantia Kloof, Sandton and Pretoria. Passionate about empowerment & healthcare, and a social media influencer with over 32 000 followers.
• Ms Lucy Pearl Khofi – Medical Anthropologist, Multi Award-Winning Women’s Health Activist, SRJC Advisory Board Chairperson, Researcher in Medical Anthropology & Public Health, Women’s Health Ekklesia NPO Founder, Period Proud.
